Toru Hashimoto offered to hold some training flights of convert-planes Osprey in Osaka Prefecture

Osaka mayor Toru Hashimoto suggested that U.S. troops spent part of training flights of convert-planes Osprey near the city of Osaka.

Hashimoto met Thursday with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

He expressed his proposal in response to safety concerns, which are distributed in Okinawa Prefecture, where these are placed tiltrotor U.S. armed forces.

At a meeting with Prime Minister Hashimoto was accompanied by the Governor of Osaka Prefecture, Ichiro Matsui, who is the general secretary of the opposition Party of the restoration of Japan, led by Hashimoto.

Hashimoto said the main island of Japan is to share the burden on the Okinawa.

He turned to Abe to engage in consultations with the U.S. military on the use of Yao Airport in Osaka Prefecture as a training ground.

Abe said that the relief the burden on Okinawa, should be the task of the whole country.
